Testimony, Faith, Belief, Knowledge

I addressed several points touched upon in recent talk shows and in follow-up emails regarding testimony, faith, belief, knowledge, sure knowledge.I have been a little surprised at the divergence of opinion on what I think should be simple definitions and in the fervor of those who subscribe to these different positions.What does it mean to have a testimony? Does that mean a sure knowledge?

The LDS sources on this are extensive. We have good reason to be more precise in our use of words. When someone declares "I know..." I think there is value in that phrase having a precise meaning.

I read a number of sources which support my conclusion that belief and knowledge in our religious terminology are different. I am comfortable with being a believer and declaring my convictions as belief rather than knowledge.
