Perspective of a Black Convert
My guest was Marvin Perkins, an enthusiastic Black Mormon. He is a convert to the LDS Church who has spent considerable time pondering and researching the issue of Blacks in LDS history and Scripture. He has been lecturing on the topic with long-time, well-known Black member, Darius Gray. They have published a set of two DVD’s of recorded live lectures. These are well organized presentations with a strong focus on insights, and I would say, surprises from the Scriptures. We discussed his perspective and included participants by phone and email.
